Do you still remember a famous cartoon icon like Richie Rich? He is a rich child with his dog “Dollar” and his friends who supported him. His parents are considered big time and they are not considering themselves as employees. They have their own business which is the reason why Richie Rich and his family were rich. But why is it that an employee cannot be rich? First of all, an employee works for the boss (which is the rich guy) and only receives minimum wage twice every month. The minimum wage of an employee is not yet enough to buy his wants, instead he spend it for his needs.

For example, if an employee has a salary of $200 monthly, this would be the deductions:

1. Tax (to be deducted automatically in your salary, around 10% to 20% I think)

2. Food and Water (we need it everyday because it is our main fuel to live)

3. Medicine (we might need it if in case we have minor or major ailments like cough, colds, flu, etc.)

4. Electrical, water and phone expenses (we are required to pay for them or else they will cut it)

5. Education (if we have kids who are still schooling, we still need it to pay for their tuition fees)

OMG! It looks like we’re always running out of cash!

Yeah that’s right. I’ve experienced that before last year. I’m averaging around $200 to $300 per month in my freelance job, but I only have less time to invest my money in starting a business. You know why? I am contributing electricity expenses in our home and I pay quarterly on my health insurance, Social Security System insurance and mobile phone plan monthly. I also spend it on groceries which I need it for myself or my family. I also give allowance to my younger sister every week for her final year as college student till we both graduated on the same year.

An average employee will work at least 8 hours daily in the office, and they only have less time with themselves or their children. But if you work as a boss on your company, you feel that you are free of anything and always have more time for yourself or with your family.

Is it good to be your own boss?

Absolutely yes! I want to be my own boss, and I want to make a living out of it. A boss invested his or her money to start a profitable business like affiliate marketing, and works harder on the first place to reach the top of the mountain in getting the return of investment (ROI). To tell you the truth, I have never worked in a single company yet, but only worked as a part-time freelancer. As a freelancer, I work through my own time (not fixed time like 8 hours a day) and I’m happy for it. Since I want to earn more money for myself and my family, it’s where I decide to start my journey as an affiliate and internet marketer. I keep on studying those free and paid methods to make money on affiliate marketing, and everything starts with failure.

I’ve failed many times on attempting those methods and grabbing those eBooks from DigitalPoint. I never quit though, until now I’m still experimenting a new twist of my own to make money with affiliate programs like Clickbank and Commission Junction. I have improved my learning on affiliate marketing through creating my first eBook about “Free Report on Making Money Online with Affiliate Marketing for Beginners”. Actually in short, it was known as FreebieJerk.

I do this because I want to be my own boss someday and to experience financial freedom when I started generating subscribers and sales to my squeeze page. Right now my sister is processing her documents to apply for a bank teller position in a huge bank, because she wants to earn money for herself and to our family, just like me. As for me, I don’t want to end up as an employee in any firm like office, mall, etc. I want to be my own boss and I love what I’m doing right now, which are freelancing and affiliate marketing. Just like Richie Rich, I want to be rich for myself and say goodbye to my hard days and years for just being an average guy.
