If we want to start things over to make money on the internet, all we need to do is to formulate a good plan on it. Blogging is one of the most attractive and powerful ways to make money online, and it is important that we need to focus about it. There are still bloggers out there who are not yet making money online with their blog or any affiliate program, just like me. We’ll it is normal for us not to make money online in our blog, because we are still learning more about the real game of it.
Learning the real game? Sounds interesting…..
The real game to make money online with internet or affiliate marketing is a tough test for the bloggers. What I have learned all along about blogging is that I should have passion to write topics that are related to my blog’s niche. Niche? If you are not familiar of that word, we can call it as our own interest of a subject or topic. For example if you are interested about dogs and other animals, we can say that your niche is all about pets and animals. If you are interested about online and local area network (LAN) games, then your niche is all about gaming. Why won’t we put our own interest or niche in our blog and monetize it for profits?
Oh really? How?
Before I will start this very short tutorial, you must commit to yourself that you are ready to be addicted with your niche blog and monetize it in any form. You must know how to spend time and money wisely on your blog, because it is one of the important keys for a blogger to be successful in setting up a profitable niche blog.
Shall we begin the tutorial now? Absolutely……
1. Register a .COM domain name at GoDaddy. The domain name should be available, niche-related and keyword-optimized if possible. If it’s keyword-optimized, it will help you rank well on search engines, but not really required. As long your domain is niche-related, it may work well. The domain only cost $7.49 and it’s quite cheap. You may click here to get your own $7.49 domain which is good for one year. You need to enter the coupon code before you made the final purchase in order to get it only for $7.49. If you stick to a free hosting blog like Blogger, Webs or Yola, the quality of your blog is not good enough to be profitable.
2. If you are looking for cheap web hosting, then GoDaddy can still provide it for you. You can buy their web hosting plans for as low as $1.99 per month. You can pay every 3 months to a full 1 year. You can click here to purchase $1.99 per month web hosting on GoDaddy.
3. After you paid for both domain and hosting, login to your GoDaddy account and integrate your domain to your hosting account. Just follow the instructions given by GoDaddy. You are required to enter your control panel details like username and password. You need to wait for at least 24 hours for your domain to be completely integrated with your hosting. Follow the instructions again on your e-mail on getting access to your control panel. In shortcut, your CPanel URL looks like this (www.xxxxx.com/cpanel).
4. When you login to your CPanel, you need to search for the word “Fantastico Deluxe” in the search bar. As you have found the Fantastico Deluxe icon, click it immediately. When you are now on the Fantastico page, notice that there are some items listed on the left sidebar. Find WordPress and click, then install it. You are required to enter your WordPress username, password, nickname and e-mail address. Once you’re done, you can now access your WordPress blog in its default theme.
5. In order to get started with your WordPress blog, you need to login with your admin panel. The WordPress admin panel may look like this (www.xxxxx.com/wp-login.php). After you successfully login to your admin panel, you need to create your very first post by clicking “Add New” on the Posts category on the left side of your panel.
6. In my own suggestion, I suggest you create at least a minimum of 300 words and must be related to your blog’s niche. It could be any topic you want as long it matches the niche of your blog. You can even add images and Youtube videos on it to make your blog post look attractive. On the Pages section, you need to create at least 3-4 pages like About, Contact, Gallery, etc. You must also fill them up with content too that is related to your blog’s page.
7. Search for a theme that is related to your blog’s niche. You can do that by clicking “Add New Themes” in the Appearance section of your admin panel. You can choose some basic and simple themes there. But if you want to make your blog profitable and good-looking, you need to search some themes outside your panel. Google is your friend, and you can search “Free WP themes” or “Free WordPress themes”. After you found that theme and download it as zip file, upload it to your WordPress panel by clicking the “Add New Themes” section and click “Upload”. Your theme must be in zip file in order to upload it on WordPress admin panel. For advanced users, you can use Filezilla for fast uploading your files in the Themes folder. But you need to unzip it and copy its main folder to the right destination. Finally, you have your own niche theme for your blog.
8. Create a Facebook fan page, Twitter account and RSS feed for your blog. This might drive traffic to your blog when you attach all of these social media widgets on the sidebar or anywhere in your blog. You can also use TweetMeme and Facebook Like plugin to install it directly to your blog by going to the Plugins section and click “Add New”. The buttons will automatically integrate into each of your blog posts and pages, depends on your settings.
9. Join at least one or more affiliate programs like Clickbank, Commission Junction, Amazon Associates, Peerfly and others. Promote products and offers that is only related to your blog’s niche. If you promote offers or products that is not related to your niche, it may lose you more readers, customers and even traffic to your site. You may promote related offers within your blog post through affiliate link or put its banners on your blog’s sidebar by clicking “Widgets” on the Appearance menu of your WordPress admin panel.
10. Start building your own traffic and list! You need to share your blog to your Facebook friends, Twitter followers and other blogs, websites, forums or communities that are related to your blog’s niche. The more links you build from niche-related sites, the more you get quality traffic and potential customers to the offers and products you have on your blog. You could even make more money by signing up with Aweber email autoresponder program. With this powerful email marketing system, you can start a 30-day trial for just $1.00. When you are satisfied with their email marketing services for a month, the charges will be $19 per month or $45 for every 3 months. Money is on the list you know? The rest of the instructions will be handled by Aweber once you signed up with them.
And there you have it folks, you now have a profitable niche blog of your own! Going back to the 6th step, you need to create blog posts every one to three days, depends on your time. If you don’t update your blog, consider it as dead and you won’t make any profits there. Don’t even commercialize your blog post like posting a junk advertisement for your readers and customers to buy your products. Nah! It won’t work because as a blogger, you need to build reputation and good relationships to your readers. The more you gained relationships with other bloggers and readers of your niche, the more you will become successful with your blog. I hope this helps you a lot to start your journey to become a successful blogger, in gaining relationships and earn profits to your niche blog.
And you need to remember that action speaks louder than words. Don’t wait to take action by next week or even tomorrow. Take action now by setting your very first profitable niche blog, and always enjoy in what you’re doing to make your readers and customers happy.
